My name is Syropoulos Christos and I have a degree in Psychology from the University of Sheffield, Great Britain since 2011. Then I did my volunteer work at the “Achtida” autism center.<\/p>\n

Having completed my military service as a reserve officer I decided to further enrich my knowledge in counseling psychology. As a result, in 2014 my three-year postgraduate studies followed in the \u201cMSc in Integrative Counseling and Psychotherapy\u201d program of the University of Derby, United Kingdom. As part of my postgraduate program, I trained professionally at Synthetic model of psychotherapy and counseling<\/b>. Synthetic psychotherapy I completely agree with as it holds that there are many ways and techniques by which human psychology can be explored and assessed as no one theory alone has the right answer.<\/p>\n

In 2017, my postgraduate studies were completed after my supervised internship at a psychologist’s office and at the rehabilitation center “Renaissance”. In between I have worked at the IASIS rehabilitation center as a social worker. Then I worked in 2nd Chance Schools as a school psychologist.<\/p>\n

I hold a license to practice the profession of Psychologist (No. Prot. DDYKM\/METH 203351(8678). <\/b><\/p>\n

I am a regular member of the Association of Greek Psychologists (SEPs) as well as the British Association of Counseling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work as a Synthetic Psychologist and maintain an office in the center of Thessaloniki since 2020.<\/p>\n

The subjects of my research and work are: Relationship counseling, treatment of anxiety disorders, anxiety\/panic crisis, depersonalization\/derealization, psychosomatic symptoms. Therapy based on Synthetic, and Cognitive-Behavioral in people with depression and Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).<\/p>\n

The therapeutic approach I apply is the Synthetic<\/b> which, based on the client’s needs, uses elements and techniques from the three main psychotherapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Person Centered (PCA)<\/b> and Psychodynamics<\/b>. I have also been heavily involved in Mindfulness<\/b> and I have completed the training program \u201cTotal Mindfulness Professional\u201d<\/b> with which I enriched my knowledge and improved my skills to use Mindfulness and Cognitive Therapy Based on Mindfulness, (MBCT)<\/b> which is very effective in managing mood and anxiety disorders, thoughts and feelings.<\/p>\n

My office is located in the center of Thessaloniki, specifically Ermou 18, 3rd floor, Stoa Karasso.<\/p>\n

The space has been configured in such a way as to create a friendly and safe environment for the customer.<\/p>\n

My goal is for the client to feel welcome, comfortable and ready to begin the journey of psychotherapy from the very first moment.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
